Job summary

Morson Edge Australia is seeking an experienced Airfreight Billing specialist to join our team in Australia. You will own end-to-end billing for airfreight files, ensuring correct rates, costs and revenue while collaborating with operations, customers, suppliers and overseas agents.

The role focuses on accuracy, profitability, and timely invoicing, with responsibilities spanning AR/AP processing, month-end support, and resolving invoicing queries. Australian citizenship or residency is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in freight forwarding, ideally airfreight.
• Experience in billing/invoicing or finance admin in freight forwarding.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers.
• Understanding of job profitability and billing processes.
• CargoWise experience would be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Manage the billing process across a portfolio of airfreight files.
• Check rates, costs and revenue to ensure jobs are billed correctly and remain profitable.
• Prepare and finalise billing files and send completed documentation to customers.
• Process AR and AP invoices.
• Work with Operations and other internal teams to resolve billing/invoicing queries.
• Assist with month-end processes and reporting.
• Manage invoicing queries through a shared mailbox and keep communication moving.
• Process profit-share arrangements where required.
• Ensure invoices and supporting documentation are completed accurately and on time.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on Airfreight Billing / Invoicing position suited to someone who understands the freight forwarding environment and is comfortable working across the financial side of international shipments. What we're looking for

• CargoWise experience would be highly regarded
• Comfortable working with internal teams, customers, suppliers and overseas agents
• Someone who takes ownership rather than simply processing whatever lands in their inbox
• Accounting or finance experience is a bonus, but freight-forwarding knowledge is the key.
