Sydney Shoulder Unit in Edgecliff is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our specialist orthopaedic practice. This part-time role focuses on delivering an exceptional patient experience and keeping the front desk running smoothly.

You’ll handle patient reception, appointment management and correspondence, plus private billing, Medicare and Workers Compensation accounts, liaising with patients, hospitals and insurers.

About the Role

Who We're Looking For

We’re particularly interested in experienced, confident and highly organised medical receptionists who can hit the ground running.

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 2 years' medical reception experience, preferably in a specialist or surgical practice.
• Strong knowledge of private billing, Medicare and Workers Compensation.
• Experience with Genie/Gentu (highly regarded).
• Excellent communication skills and a warm, polished and professional manner.
• Exceptional attention to detail, reliability and organisational ability.
• The confidence to work independently, anticipate problems and take initiative.
• Australian working rights.

Extensive specialist practice experience, surgical booking expertise or senior medical administration experience will be particularly highly valued and reflected in remuneration.
