Job summary

DDS Nanango is seeking a reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant / Dispensary Technician to join our friendly team. This role welcomes applicants with strong computer literacy eager to learn, with training and support provided to the right person.

You will support pharmacists with day-to-day operations, process prescriptions, learn dispensing systems, manage DAAs, and maintain patient records while delivering professional customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in a pharmacy or dispensary helps, but strong computer literacy and quick learning are valued.
• Ability to learn dispensing systems and maintain patient records.
• Experience with DAA packing is an advantage.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, positive and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Support pharmacists with day-to-day pharmacy and dispensary operations

DDS Nanango is looking for a reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant / Dispensary Technician to join our friendly and supportive pharmacy team.

Previous pharmacy or dispensary experience is highly regarded; however, we also welcome applicants with strong computer literacy, attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly. Training and support will be provided to the right person.

We welcome applications from candidates based in Nanango, Kingaroy, Yarraman and surrounding South Burnett and Darling Downs areas.

About the Role

• Supporting pharmacists with day-to-day pharmacy and dispensary operations
• Processing prescriptions and assisting with dispensary workflow
• Learning and using pharmacy dispensing systems
• Preparing and managing Dose Administration Aids (DAAs), where required
• Maintaining accurate patient and medication records
• Managing stock, including ordering, receiving and maintaining dispensary stock
• Assisting with general pharmacy administration
• Providing friendly and professional customer service
• Maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Working collaboratively with pharmacists and other pharmacy team members
• Following pharmacy procedures, policies and relevant professional requirements

About You

• Strong computer literacy and confidence learning new systems
• A quick-learning attitude and strong attention to detail
• Previous pharmacy, retail, administration or customer service experience
• Previous community pharmacy or dispensary experience, highly regarded
• Experience with DAA packing or pharmacy software, an advantage but not essential
• Good organisational and time-management skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• A reliable, positive and professional approach to work
• The ability to follow processes accurately and work well as part of a team
