Qualifications

• Relevant bakery qualification or proven commercial baking experience.
• Experience operating bakery ovens and dough processing equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong understanding of bakery production processes.
• Knowledge of food safety and WHS practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and weigh ingredients according to established recipes.
• Mix dough following production schedules and quality standards.
• Process and shape dough efficiently to meet daily production targets.
• Operate bakery equipment including mixers, ovens, proofers and retarders.
• Bake a variety of bakery products to achieve consistent quality and appearance.
• Monitor product flow through the production process.
• Display freshly baked products appropriately for retail presentation.
• Maintain production schedules to ensure timely product availability.
• Assist with stock control, ordering and inventory management.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards throughout the bakery.
• Follow WHS procedures at all times.
• Support and mentor junior bakery staff and apprentices when required.
• Work collaboratively with the production team to achieve daily production goals.
