Job summary

Bakers Delight Berowra is seeking an experienced and motivated Baker to join our team, producing high-quality artisan breads while upholding food safety and customer satisfaction. This role offers full-time, permanent employment within a nationally recognised bakery brand.

You will work with the bakery team to meet production targets, prepare ingredients, operate equipment, and maintain quality standards. The ideal candidate has at least one year in a bakery, a relevant baking qualification, and

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of full-time Baker experience.
• Certificate III in Baking or equivalent is highly regarded.
• Previous experience in a commercial bakery.
• Strong knowledge of bread production techniques.
• Ability to work early morning shifts and meet production schedules.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, mix, knead, ferment and bake a variety of breads and bakery products.
• Measure and prepare ingredients per recipes.
• Monitor dough quality throughout production.
• Operate commercial bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure products meet Bakers Delight quality standards and production specs.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and workplace safety at all times.
• Monitor stock levels and minimise waste.
• Work collaboratively with the bakery team to meet production targets.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining bakery equipment, utensils and work areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, mix, knead, ferment and bake a variety of breads and bakery products.

• Monitor dough quality throughout the production process to ensure consistency and product quality.
• Operate commercial bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all products meet Bakers Delight quality standards and production specifications.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements at all times.
• Monitor stock levels and assist in minimising product waste.
• Work collaboratively with the bakery team to meet daily production targets and requirements.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining bakery equipment, utensils and work areas.

Requirements

Applicants should demonstrate:

• Minimum one (1) year of relevant full-time experience as a Baker.
• Relevant baking qualification, such as Certificate III in Baking or equivalent, is highly regarded.
• Previous experience working in a commercial bakery environment.
• Strong knowledge of bread production techniques and bakery processes.
