Job summary

Bakers Delight Sturt Mall is seeking an experienced Baker to join our team, producing high-quality artisan breads and bakery products while upholding safety and service standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of relevant full-time experience as a Baker.
• AQF Certificate III in Baking or equivalent is highly regarded.
• Previous experience in a commercial bakery environment.
• Strong knowledge of bread production techniques and bakery processes.
• Ability to work early morning shifts and meet production schedules.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, mix, knead, ferment and bake a variety of breads and bakery products.
• Measure and prepare ingredients per recipes and specifications.
• Monitor dough quality to ensure consistency and product quality.
• Operate commercial bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all products meet Bakers Delight quality standards and production specs.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Monitor stock levels and assist in minimizing waste.
• Collaborate with bakery team to meet daily production targets.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining equipment, utensils and work areas.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
AQF Certificate III in Baking or equivalent qualification OR minimum 3–5 years’ relevant commercial baking experience At least 2 years’ post-qualification or equivalent industry experience Proven experience in artisan and commercial bread production Strong understanding of dough fermentation, baking processes, and quality control Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and under pressure Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
