Job summary

Your client in Victoria is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join their civil construction team. You will operate excavators from 5T to 50T+ on major earthworks and infrastructure projects, ensuring safe, efficient delivery and adherence to site procedures.

Responsibilities include trenching for drainage and services, daily pre-starts, routine maintenance, and close collaboration with site teams. GPS experience and plant tickets are highly regarded; an immediate start is available.

Qualifications

• Experience operating excavators on civil, infrastructure, quarry or earthworks projects.
• Relevant plant operating tickets and a White Card.
• GPS experience with Topcon, Trimble or Leica is highly regarded.

• Perform bulk and detailed excavation works.

Your client is a well-established civil construction contractor delivering major earthworks, infrastructure, and subdivision projects across Victoria. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join their team.

Your new role

As an Excavator Operator, you will play a key role in the delivery of civil construction projects, operating machinery safely and efficiently while working alongside experienced site teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate excavators ranging from 5T to 50T+ safely and efficiently
• Bulk and detailed excavation works
• Trenching for drainage, sewer, water, and electrical services
• Daily pre-starts and routine machine maintenance checks
• Adhere to site safety requirements and company procedures
• Work collaboratively with supervisors, spotters, and ground crews

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience operating excavators on civil, infrastructure, quarry or earthworks projects
• Relevant plant operating tickets
• White Card
• Strong understanding of site safety procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Final trim experience highly regarded
• GPS experience (Topcon, Trimble, Leica) highly regarded
