Job summary

Draper's Civil Contracting is seeking an experienced GPS Excavator Operator to join our team in Breakwater, Victoria. This full-time role involves operating excavators from 5 to 36 tonnes across residential subdivisions, road site cuts, civil earthworks and wetlands throughout the Geelong region.

Ideal candidates bring an excavator ticket, construction induction card, and GIS/GPS experience for bulk earthworks. Join a supportive team with a strong safety culture and ongoing on-site training.

Qualifications

• Must have an excavator ticket and construction induction card
• A valid Heavy Combination licence would be an advantage, and other heavy plant tickets
• Advantage to have at least 5 years' experience operating excavators with GPS for bulk earthworks, road construction and basins.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and trench awareness
• Reliable and a commitment to achieving high standards
• Strong time management and organisational abilities
• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Ability and experience in trenching for sewer, stormwater, watermain, power and communications an advantage, including benching out and installing trench shields.
• Carry out pre-start checks and routine maintenance on the excavator
• Ensure all trenching works comply with relevant safety regulations
• Communicate effectively with the construction team to coordinate works
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety standards

Draper's Civil Contracting is seeking an experienced GPS Excavator Operator to join our team in Breakwater, Victoria. This is a full-time position that will involve operating an excavator from 5tonne up to 36tonne subject to experience, for residential subdivisions, road site cuts, civil earthworks and wetland basins throughout the Geelong region.
