Job summary

seek.com.au is seeking experienced excavator operators in Brisbane for civil construction projects. The role begins as casual and can transition to full-time for reliable team members, with work secured well into 2028 and beyond.

You will operate excavators on drainage, earthworks, and trenching tasks, while reading plans and working around underground services. A White Card is required; tickets are preferred. Join a safety-conscious, team-oriented crew delivering quality work.

Our clients are busy, the work is locked in & the machines are ready for experienced, friendly and competant operators to join the team long term, with work secured well into 2028 and beyond.

About the role:

• Casual position to start - full time for reliable guys!!
• Operating excavators across electrical, drainage and earthworks projects.
• Pit n Pipe / Conduits
• Installation of stormwater and sewer drainage.
• Bulk and detailed earthworks.
• Trenching, battering, and backfilling.
• Working safely around live underground services.
• Assisting with general civil labouring duties when and if required.
• Working alongside experienced civil crews across multiple projects.
• Projects located in North & South Brisbane - work local to home!

What you'll need:

• Demonstrated experience operating excavators within civil construction.
• Proven experience completing drainage and earthworks.
• Experience working around underground services.
• Ability to read plans and work to levels is highly regarded.
• Relevant VOCs and machinery tickets preferred.
• White Card (Construction Induction Card).
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Willingness to assist with manual labour when required.
• Reliable, self-motivated and a strong team player.
