Job summary

Coogee Bay Hotel is seeking a proactive Events Coordinator to join our team in Coogee, NSW. You will plan, coordinate, and execute weddings, conferences, and social events, ensuring seamless delivery from inception to post-event review.

This full-time role (38 hours/week) focuses on delivering exceptional guest experiences, managing budgets, and developing relationships with clients and stakeholders. Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in event planning or coordination.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office and event management software.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to determine event requirements and objectives.
• Plan and coordinate all aspects of events including venue, catering, AV, and decor.
• Manage budgets and negotiate vendor contracts.
• Coordinate with internal departments for seamless execution.
• Oversee setup, breakdown, and on-site coordination.
• Provide exceptional customer service and act as the main client contact.
• Handle issues during events and conduct post-event reviews.
• Produce weekly/monthly reports and maintain event systems.
