Job summary

FireFit Youth & Community Hub in Liverpool is seeking a friendly Receptionist (Evenings & Weekends) for a part-time role. You will greet visitors, manage sign-ins, bookings, and memberships, and provide general admin support while handling payments and using GDPR-compliant data practices.

The role requires good literacy, numeracy, and customer service experience. Evening/ weekend work, right to work, and references are essential; prior admin experience is helpful.

Qualifications

• Friendly, approachable personality with strong customer focus.
• GCSE Grade 4 or above or equivalent literacy/numeracy.
• Experience delivering excellent customer service.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Good IT skills and GDPR data handling ability.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks.
• Good attention to detail and organised approach.
• Following policies, health and safety procedures.
• Administrative experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Desirable Level 3 qualification and First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Welcome visitors, youth members and customers with friendly service.
• Manage sign-ins/outs for visitors and contractors.
• Respond to enquiries face-to-face, by phone, email and social media.
• Handle bookings and venue hire information, keep records up to date.
• Maintain membership accounts and process fees as per procedures.
• Support day-to-day reception tasks and oversee tuck shop.
• Maintain accurate customer/service user data for monitoring.
• Provide general admin support including records and filing.
• Handle payments and assist Duty Manager with cashing up.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection rules.
