Job summary

JB Hi-Fi Education is seeking an ICT Support Technician in Gippsland on a casual basis. The role supports schools with Level 1–2 desktop issues, basic server tasks, and on-site deployments. It is ideal for someone starting their IT career with a customer‑facing focus.

Ideal candidates may have Min Cert 4 in IT Systems Administration or equivalent, and certifications such as CCNA or CompTIA. Victorian WWCC is preferred, with opportunities for training and career development within JB Hi-Fi Group.

Qualifications

• Tertiary education desirable (Min Cert 4 in IT Systems Administration or similar).
• Industry certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA or ITIL are valued.
• WWCC for Victoria is preferred.
• Certifications as defined within the solution set (eg. vCloud).

Responsibilities

• Provide Service Desk Level 1 and Level 2 support as required for desktop, hardware, software issues.
• Assist Specialist Technician to complete tasks through to resolution.
• Provide local support for the Notebooks for Teachers and Principals Program.
• Deploy system images: packaging, building, testing and updating in live environments.
• Contribute to technical documents for the school.
• Participate in on-site installation of hardware and software.
• Provide basic server administration tasks (password resets, printer queues, backups, network services).
