The Opportunity

As Enterprise Website Lead, you'll shape the strategy and evolution of QBE's enterprise websites across Group, Ventures and AUSPAC. You'll lead a small team and work across a diverse stakeholder network to create effective, customer-focused digital experiences that respond to changing business needs, emerging technology, and governance and brand standards.

About QBE
  • At QBE, we get to the heart of what matters for our customers. And we do it all with a human touch.
  • We’re an international insurer with more than 13,000 people working across 26 countries – which means we’re big enough for your ambitions, yet small enough for you to make a real impact. It’s an exciting time. We’re building momentum towards our vision to become the most consistent and innovative risk partner.
  • What if you could have a positive impact – at work and in the world? As part of the QBE team, you’ll get to spend every day working with people who are passionate, talented and kind.
Your New Role

Sitting within the Digital Communications and Content team, you'll bring dedicated website expertise to a broad portfolio of digital channels. You'll establish a clear website roadmap, strengthen governance and stakeholder relationships, and help QBE respond to the changing digital landscape, including the growing influence of AI on search and customer journeys.

A key part of the role is influencing and scaling positive change, championing enterprise consistency, best practice and optimisation across markets by connecting priorities, sharing learnings and supporting strong communities of practice with regional website leaders and Marketing teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and drive the strategy, roadmap and ongoing evolution of QBE's Group, Australia Pacific and Ventures websites, ensuring alignment with business objectives, customer needs and enterprise priorities.
  • Lead and support two Website Content Specialists, setting clear priorities, enabling effective delivery and fostering a high-performing team environment.
  • Build strong relationships across product, marketing, digital, communications, IT and regional teams to align priorities, manage improvement opportunities and maintain an effective website backlog.
  • Strengthen website governance, operating practices and enterprise-wide collaboration by connecting regional digital and marketing teams, sharing learnings and championing best practice.
  • Monitor website performance through Google Analytics and related tools, using data-driven insights to identify optimisation opportunities, measure success and demonstrate business value.
  • Stay ahead of emerging digital trends, evolving platform capabilities and the influence of AI on search and customer experience, translating insights into practical improvements while supporting priority enterprise projects that enhance governance, capability and brand consistency.
About You

You're a strategic and commercially minded digital professional who can connect customer needs, business priorities and emerging technology to shape future-fit website experiences. You'll bring strong stakeholder management and leadership capability, together with the judgement to navigate complexity, establish priorities and turn a broad range of requirements into a clear and achievable plan.

You'll also have:

  • Experience leading the strategy, roadmap, ongoing development and continuous improvement of large-scale or enterprise websites, applying product ownership or product management principles to prioritise initiatives and drive outcomes.
  • Experience working with enterprise content management systems such as Sitecore or Adobe Experience Manager.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build alignment across complex, geographically dispersed business, digital, communications and marketing networks.
  • A strong understanding of digital customer experience, website content strategy, search optimisation and emerging AI-driven developments, with the ability to translate these trends into effective digital experiences.
  • A data-driven mindset with strong reporting and analytics capability (e.g. Google Analytics), using insights to drive prioritisation, optimisation and measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience working within financial services, another regulated environment, or an agency supporting large and complex organisations would be highly regarded.
