Job summary

Decagon is seeking an Agent Deployment Engineer in Australia to own end‑to‑end AI agent builds for strategic customers, translating requirements into scalable, enterprise‑grade deployments.

You will collaborate with Product, Engineering and GTM to define success, design core agent logic, build integrations with CRM and data pipelines, and ensure safe, reliable performance at scale for complex environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in a technical customer-facing role.
• Strong ability to write code, work with APIs, and validate end-to-end integrations.
• Clear communication with senior technical stakeholders and ability to translate requirements into plans.
• Comfort working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where you shape solutions as you implement them.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end architecture and execution of AI agent builds for enterprise customers, from scoping through deployment.
• Design and engineer the core agent logic for reliable, correct behavior across non-deterministic outputs.
• Develop layered guardrails and supervisory controls for safe, compliant agent performance.
• Architect, build, and test integrations with customer systems (CRM, data pipelines, tickets).
• Interface with senior stakeholders to define success criteria and drive delivery.
• Diagnose and resolve failures through root-cause analysis of traces and logs.
• Design evaluation and regression tests to guard against performance drift.
• Translate customer needs into internal documentation and drive platform improvements.
• Collaborate with APMs, Eng, Design, and GTM to ensure repeatable, best-in-class builds.
