Job summary

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expert knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to lead and implement school priorities, including literacy and numeracy across the curriculum.
• Ability to plan and implement high-impact teaching strategies that respond to student learning needs and to evaluate their impact on learning growth.
• Proven skill in monitoring and assessing student learning and using data to drive school improvement and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities to build collaborative relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider school community.
• Capacity to model department values and lead professional learning across the school.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage whole-school improvement initiatives aligned with the strategic plan.
• Drive curriculum planning and delivery improvements across learning areas.
• Coordinate and monitor professional development and individual/team development plans for teaching staff.
• Oversee staff performance reviews and development to improve teaching practice and student outcomes.
• Lead the development of school assessment and reporting policies and practices.
• Contribute to policy development and ensure implementation of school priorities.
