Job summary

Melba Support Services Australia Ltd in Victoria is seeking a dedicated Disability Support Worker to help people live meaningful, self-directed lives with dignity and respect.

You’ll provide tailored personal care, support independent living, and community participation across diverse services while following person-centered plans, fostering independence and strong relationships with participants, families and teams.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Disability or Diploma of Community Services (highly regarded).
• Current First Aid and CPR Certification.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to each person’s goals and preferences.
• Help people build independence, confidence and life skills.
• Support participation in community, recreation, education and employment activities.
• Deliver practical day-to-day support including personal care when required.
• Support health and wellbeing, including medication assistance when authorised.
• Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.
