Job summary

Canva is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Embedded team within Production Engineering. You’ll guide senior engineers, shape technical direction and mentor others while coordinating across teams to tackle high-impact production challenges.

You’ll influence architectural decisions, improve reliability and build scalable practices, balancing autonomy with accountability in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Strong CS fundamentals with concurrency, multithreading and data structures.
• Depth in Go, Python, Java or C++ for design discussions.
• Experience leading senior engineers and technical leads.
• Proven ability to influence across multiple teams and domains.
• Familiarity with reliability, observability and production risk.
