Job summary

Hilton seeks an Floor Manager – Event Operations in Sydney to coordinate with guests and the Events team, ensuring flawless execution of functions with optimal resource use. You will lead Event Operations Supervisors, Team Leaders and F&B attendants, delegating tasks and ensuring precise setups.

You will supervise floor plans, room layouts, and service areas, while coaching staff, maintaining QA/HACCP standards, and guaranteeing guest-focused service at all times.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years in a managerial position in a 4/5-star category hotel.
• Good English skills, both written and verbal to meet business needs.
• Familiar with computer systems.
• Motivated and committed, approaching tasks with enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
• Flexible and responsive to changing requirements, including duties as assigned.
• Strong leadership, people management and training skills.
• Guest oriented with ability to exceed service standards.
• Knowledge of service, cost control in F&B and labour controls.
• RSA Certification valid.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate between guests and the Events team to execute functions per client instructions.
• Direct and supervise Event Operations Supervisors, Team Leaders and F&B Attendants.
• Interpret floor plans and Event Orders; position furniture and stations accordingly.
• Direct setup of rooms, tables, buffets, coffee stations, and service areas per orders.
• Ensure timely set ups and maintain cleanliness to meet Event Orders.
• Train and coach team members; sign off Job Skills Checklists as skills are gained.
• Ensure adequate staffing and match team members to skill levels.
• Maintain high quality products and adherence to QA and HACCP guidelines.
• Manage storage and handling of incoming products; communicate amendments to departments.
