Job summary

Studyandwork in Melbourne is seeking an Electrical Engineer to contribute to challenging infrastructure and industrial projects from concept through delivery. You will work with experienced engineers and apply skills in earthing, bonding, HV/LV systems, and AC interference studies.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, strong analytical ability, and proficiency with AutoCAD, ETAP, PowerCAD, CYMCAP, or similar software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Experience or interest in Earthing & Bonding, HV/LV systems, ACIS is preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and analysis of electrical infrastructure projects.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, and design documentation.
• Support the design of Earthing & Bonding, HV/LV, and ACIS projects.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Ensure designs comply with Australian Standards and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver quality project outcomes.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineer looking to work on challenging infrastructure and industrial projects while developing expertise in specialist electrical systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

ABOUT YOU

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Previous experience or demonstrated interest in:
  • Earthing & Bonding
  • High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) systems
  • AC Interference Studies (ACIS)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative engineering team.
• Experience using engineering software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, PowerCAD, CYMCAP, or similar is highly regarded.
• Experience using NetSuite is highly desirable.
• Australian working rights.
