Job summary

Chandler Macleod is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the Projects & Engineering team in Kurri Kurri, NSW. You will provide electrical engineering expertise across the project lifecycle, from concept through to commissioning and handover, delivering design support, governance and compliance for fixed and mobile plant assets.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3-5 years' experience in project delivery.
• Experience delivering electrical engineering solutions in manufacturing, mining, processing, industrial or heavy industry environments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work across multiple disciplines in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical, instrumentation and control systems engineering support across capital projects and operational assets.
• Assist with electrical design scopes for fixed plant projects and complex facilities.
• Support project delivery through design development, technical reviews, commissioning and asset handover.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, statutory requirements and safety regulations.
• Participate in design reviews, hazard studies and risk assessments for safe project outcomes.

You will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from concept development and design through to commissioning and handover.

Working closely with mechanical, electrical, drafting and project delivery teams, you will contribute to the successful execution of a variety of engineering projects while ensuring safety, quality and regulatory compliance remain at the forefront.

About You

• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A practical, solutions-focused approach with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple disciplines.

Highly Regarded

• RPEQ accreditationor a willingness to work towards achieving it.
• Experience with hazardous areas, functional safety systems and industrial process environments.
• Exposure to project management and contractor management.
