Job summary

Study And Work is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a growing team working on infrastructure and industrial projects in Newcastle, NSW. You will contribute from concept design through to delivery, with focus areas including Earthing & Bonding, HV/LV systems and AC Interference Studies (ACIS).

The role emphasizes collaboration with experienced engineers, hands-on design work, and professional development within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience or interest in Earthing & Bonding, HV/LV systems, and AC Interference Studies (ACIS).
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Experience with AutoCAD, ETAP, PowerCAD, CYMCAP or similar software is valued.
• NetSuite experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design and analysis of electrical infrastructure projects.
• Prepare calculations, technical reports, and design documentation.
• Support Earthing & Bonding, HV/LV, and ACIS projects.
• Review drawings, specifications and project documents.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineer looking to work on challenging infrastructure and industrial projects while developing expertise in specialist electrical systems.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience in or a genuine interest in one or more of the following areas:

• Earthing & Bonding Systems
• High Voltage (HV) & Low Voltage (LV) Electrical Systems
• AC Interference Studies (ACIS)

You will work alongside experienced engineers and contribute to projects from concept design through to delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with the design and analysis of electrical infrastructure projects.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, and design documentation.
• Support the design of Earthing & Bonding, HV/LV, and ACIS projects.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.

ABOUT YOU

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Previous experience or demonstrated interest in:
  • Earthing & Bonding
  • High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) systems
  • AC Interference Studies (ACIS)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative engineering team.
• Experience using engineering software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, PowerCAD, CYMCAP, or similar is highly regarded.
• Experience using NetSuite is highly desirable.
