Responsibilities

• Design, develop and supervise installation, operation and maintenance of electrical equipment, machines and systems.
• Plan and design electrical infrastructure including generators, transformers, switchgear and protection systems.
• Prepare single-line diagrams, schematics, layouts and cable schedules.
• Select and size major electrical components per project requirements and standards.
• Interpret specifications, drawings, Australian Standards, codes and regulations.
• Perform electrical engineering calculations to ensure safe, compliant designs.
• Coordinate delivery and installation schedules with construction and commissioning programmes.
• Oversee installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of electrical systems.
• Diagnose and resolve complex electrical faults and improve reliability and safety.

About the role

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Crossmuller Engineering Projects team based on the Central Coast, NSW.

Reporting to the Electrical Manager, you will design, develop and supervise the installation, operation and maintenance of electrical equipment, machines and systems across construction and infrastructure projects.

You will be responsible for:

• Planning and designing electrical infrastructure, including generators, transformers, switchgear and protection systems.
• Preparing single-line diagrams, schematics, layouts, cable schedules and design documentation.
• Selecting and sizing major electrical components in line with project requirements and standards.
• Interpreting and applying specifications, drawings, Australian Standards, codes and regulations.
• Performing electrical engineering calculations and studies to ensure safe and compliant designs.
• Coordinating delivery and installation schedules with construction and commissioning programmes.
• Overseeing installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
• Diagnosing and resolving complex electrical faults and implementing reliability and safety improvements.
• Operating in a team environment with a focus on safety and quality workmanship.
• Maintaining safety standards and good housekeeping practices.

This is a full-time position. Salary for this position will be not less than $79,499 per annum.
