Job summary

Crossmuller is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their Engineering Projects team on the Central Coast, NSW. You will design, develop and supervise electrical installations across construction and infrastructure projects.

Reporting to the Electrical Manager, you will interpret drawings, perform calculations and ensure safe, compliant designs. The role requires teamwork, strong communication, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineer qualification required.
• Experience reading diagrams, drawings and blueprints.
• Pre-employment medical examination may be required.
• Ability to work unsupervised or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design electrical infrastructure, including generators, transformers, switchgear and protection systems.
• Prepare single-line diagrams, schematics, layouts, cable schedules and design documentation.
• Select and size major electrical components per project requirements and standards.
• Interpret specifications, drawings, Australian Standards, codes and regulations.
• Perform electrical calculations and studies for safe, compliant designs.
• Coordinate delivery and installation schedules with construction and commissioning programmes.
• Oversee installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve complex electrical faults; implement reliability improvements.
• Operate in a team with focus on safety and quality workmanship.
• Maintain safety standards and good housekeeping.

About the role

You will be responsible for:

• Planning and designing electrical infrastructure, including generators, transformers, switchgear and protection systems.
• Preparing single-line diagrams, schematics, layouts, cable schedules and design documentation.
• Selecting and sizing major electrical components in line with project requirements and standards.
• Interpreting and applying specifications, drawings, Australian Standards, codes and regulations.
• Performing electrical engineering calculations and studies to ensure safe and compliant designs.
• Coordinating delivery and installation schedules with construction and commissioning programmes.
• Overseeing installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
• Diagnosing and resolving complex electrical faults and implementing reliability and safety improvements.
• Operating in a team environment with a focus on safety and quality workmanship.
• Maintaining safety standards and good housekeeping practices.

This is a full-time position. Salary for this position will be not less than $79,499 per annum.

About you

To be considered for this position you will have:

• A qualification as an Electrical Engineer.
• Demonstrated experience in trouble shooting, problem solving and fault finding.
• The ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to work unsupervised as well as part of a team.
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
