Job summary

Our Lady of the Rosary OSHC in Caloundra is seeking a dedicated casual Educator to support before and after school care for up to 45 children within a warm school community. The role invites proactive team players who thrive in collaborative settings and are willing to support all aspects of service delivery.

No formal qualification is required, though a Children’s Services qualification is highly regarded and those working toward one are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• No formal qualification is required for this role, however a qualification in Children's Services is highly regarded.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain)
• Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• Knowledge of National Quality Framework and related standards (or ability to acquire)
• Some experience in the education and care of children is desirable
• Effective oral and written communication skills in the workplace

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, nurturing care for children across before school and after school sessions
• Create a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for all children
• Design and deliver fun, inclusive recreational and educational experiences
• Maintain positive working relationships with all team members
• Collaborate within an established team to ensure best outcomes for children and families
• Join excursions and special events during vacation care
• Contribute to a genuine difference in children's lives every day

Job Requirements:

• A qualification in Children's Services (Certificate III, Diploma, or ACECQA equivalent) is highly regarded but not essential
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain)
• Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• Mandatory Child Protection (Geccko) Course 1 & 2 — Course 3 & 4 optional but highly regarded
• Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place framework, and National Law/Regulations (or ability to acquire)
• Some experience in the education and care of children is desirable
• Effective oral and written communication skills within the workplace
