Job summary

Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane – St Francis Xavier OSHC in Runaway Bay is seeking a Casual Educator to support before and after school care and vacation care for up to 120 children. No experience required; training and supportive team environment offered.

Role involves nurturing care, safety, inclusive activities, and collaboration with staff to deliver quality experiences for school-aged children. Casual hours provide flexible scheduling and opportunities to contribute to a caring community.

Qualifications

• Effective oral and written communication within the workplace.
• Certificate III or Diploma in Children Services desirable but not essential.
• Current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check) required.
• Knowledge of National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place, or Early Years Learning framework.

At St Francis Xavier Outside School Hours Care, we offer before school care, after school care, and vacation care for up to 120 children. We’re looking for enthusiastic and energetic educators who are committed to supporting primary school-aged children's development, ensuring they learn, have fun, and feel safe every day.

Position: Casual Educator (varied hours)

Job Requirements:

• Certificate III or Diploma in Children Services (or working towards) or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines would be desirable but not essential
• Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• A passion for the education and care of school aged children in a play-based environment
• Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place or Early Years Learning framework and National Law/Regulations or ability to acquire
• Effective oral and written communication within the workplace
