Job summary

St Francis Xavier OSHC in Runaway Bay, part of Catholic Early EdCare, is seeking casual educators to join a dedicated team providing before and after school care and vacation programs for up to 120 children.

You will support school-aged children in a play-based environment, ensuring safety, inclusivity, and engaging learning activities. Queensland Blue Card and relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services (or working towards) per ACECQA guidelines.
• Current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
• Passion for education and care of school-aged children in a play-based environment.
• Knowledge of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place or Early Years Learning framework and National Law/Regulations or ability to acquire.
• Effective oral and written communication within the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Provide nurturing care for children.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming environment.
• Create inclusive recreational and educational experiences.
• Maintain positive relationships with team members.
• Work collaboratively within the team to ensure best outcomes for children and families.
• Attend excursions during vacation care.
• Contribute to a positive, engaging OSHC program.

At St Francis Xavier Outside School Hours Care, we offer before school care, after school care, and vacation care for up to 120 children. We’re looking for enthusiastic and energetic educators who are committed to supporting primary school-aged children’s development, ensuring they learn, have fun, and feel safe every day.

Position: Casual Educator (varied hours)

Job Requirements:
