Job summary

Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane – Jubilee Primary School Outside School Hours Care in Pacific Pines QLD is seeking casual OSHC educators to support before/after school and vacation care for up to 150 children. No experience required, training and a positive, child‑focused approach are valued.

Role involves nurturing care, safety, engaging activities, and teamwork to ensure inclusive, enjoyable experiences for school‑aged children.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services is desirable but not essential.
• Geckko National Child Training completed or willing to complete before start.
• Current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nurturing care supporting children’s wellbeing and development.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment.
• Create fun, engaging, and inclusive recreational and educational experiences.

Our Service

Jubilee Primary School Outside School Hours Care is part of the Jubilee Primary School and St Mary’s Catholic Parish community. We provide Before School Care, After School Care, and Vacation Care for up to 150 children. Our service offers a flexible, child-initiated program that embraces children’s ideas, cultures, and interests, creating an environment where every child feels included, supported, and encouraged to thrive. We’re looking for enthusiastic and energetic educators who are passionate about supporting primary school-aged children to learn, grow, and have fun in a safe and welcoming environment.

Job Requirements

• Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services, or willingness to work towards a qualification, is desirable but not essential. Equivalent qualifications recognised by ACECQA are also welcome.
• Completion of mandatory National Child Training via Geckko, or willingness to complete it before commencing employment.
• A current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
• A genuine passion for working with school-aged children in a play-based environment.
• An understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time, Our Place, the Early Years Learning Framework, and relevant legislation, or a willingness to learn.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
