Job summary

YMCA Queensland is seeking an Educational Leader for the Churchill Outside School Hours Care team on a permanent part-time basis in Queensland. You will shape engaging programs, guide educators and ensure every child feels safe, supported and included.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Children’s Services or equivalent (desirable).
• Minimum three years’ experience in an Early Childhood Education and Care setting.
• Knowledge of the approved learning framework.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of child development and attachment.
• Knowledge of evidence-based best practice approaches to teaching and learning.

Responsibilities

• Drive the creation, delivery and ongoing improvement of educational programs for out-of-school hours care.
• Guide, motivate and empower educators to reach their potential.
• Champion child-centred, play-based learning aligned with current frameworks.
• Foster a positive, inclusive and collaborative culture.
• Lead by example with reflective practice and best-in-class teaching approaches.
• Collaborate with families, schools and community partners to support each child.
• Ensure programs meet compliance and high standards of care.
