Job summary

Surrey Downs Community Children’s Centre is seeking an experienced Educational Leader to join our 50-place, not-for-profit community service and guide educational practice alongside the Director.

You will mentor educators in planning, programming and reflective practice, promote high-quality child-focused learning experiences, and support room leaders to build confidence and professional practice. We actively pursue QIP and continuous improvement with EYLF embedding across the service.

Qualifications

• Passionate about early childhood education.
• Educational Leader role – previous experience is preferred.
• Confident mentoring and supporting educators.
• Knowledgeable about the EYLF V2.0 and NQS.
• A collaborative, approachable and positive leader.
• Committed to quality practice and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Guide and strengthen educational practice with the Director.
• Support and mentor educators in planning, programming and reflective practice.
• Promote high-quality, child-focused learning experiences.
• Support room leaders and educators to develop their confidence and professional practice.
• Contribute to our QIP and ongoing continuous improvement.
• Help ensure the EYLF is meaningfully embedded across the service.
• Build positive relationships with educators, children and families.
