Leaps & Bounds Preschool Manly is seeking a Diploma-qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our warm team caring for up to 40 children in a boutique setting.

Qualifications

• ACECQA-approved Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent.
• WWCC current and valid.
• First Aid Certificate with asthma and anaphylaxis training.
• Approved Child Protection qualification.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate learning experiences across developmental areas.
• Provide high-quality care, supervision and education per NQS, EYLF, and legislation.
• Build respectful relationships with children and families; communicate learning progress and wellbeing.
• Create a safe, inclusive environment respecting diversity and individual needs.
• Observe, document, and reflect on learning to inform curriculum planning.
• Support children's transitions, emotional wellbeing, and positive behaviour guidance.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, and duty of care.
• Collaborate with educators; contribute to a supportive team culture.
• Participate in professional development and current ECEC practices.
• Communicate with families and professionals to support holistic development.

Leaps & Bounds Preschool Manly is seeking a dedicated and passionate Diploma-qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our warm and friendly team of experienced, committed, and mature-minded educators.

This is a full-time or part-time opportunity within our boutique preschool community, caring for and educating up to 40 children. Our preschool provides a welcoming and nurturing environment where children, families, and educators can form genuine and meaningful connections.

As an Early Childhood Educator at Leaps & Bounds Preschool, you will play an important role in creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment where children are supported to develop socially, emotionally, cognitively, and physically. Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate learning experiences that support children’s learning and development across all developmental areas

• Provide high-quality care, supervision, and education in accordance with the National Quality Standards (NQS), Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and relevant legislation

• Build respectful and meaningful relationships with children and families, communicating regularly about children’s learning, progress, achievements, and wellbeing

• Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment that respects diversity and supports each child’s individual needs

• Observe, document, and reflect on children’s learning to inform curriculum planning and individualised learning experiences

• Support children’s transitions, emotional wellbeing, and positive behaviour guidance

• Maintain high standards of health, safety, hygiene, and duty of care

• Collaborate with educators and contribute positively to a supportive and professional team culture

• Participate in professional development and continue to build knowledge of current early childhood education practices

• Communicate effectively with families, colleagues, and other professionals to support children’s holistic development

About you

We are looking for an educator who is passionate about early childhood education and who shares our commitment to providing high-quality learning experiences for children.

You will have:

• An ACECQA-approved Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent qualification)

• A current NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC)

• Current First Aid Certificate, including Asthma and Anaphylaxis training

• An approved Child Protection qualification

• Demonstrated experience working in an early childhood education and care setting

• Sound knowledge of the EYLF, NQS, and Early Childhood Education and Care Regulations

• A strong understanding and commitment to play-based, child-led learning

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organisational and time-management skills

• The ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a positive workplace culture

• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning, development, and wellbeing

• Flexibility, adaptability, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism
