Job summary

Rochester Secondary College in Victoria is seeking a capable classroom teacher to implement the curriculum and develop literacy and numeracy across year levels.

You will plan, teach and assess to improve student outcomes, collaborate with staff, and engage families and the wider school community while modelling best practice and professional learning. Attendance at meetings and school events is expected.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of curriculum with ability to teach literacy and numeracy.
• Plan and implement high impact teaching strategies and evaluate impact.
• Monitor, assess and provide feedback on student learning growth.
• Establish collaborative relationships with students, parents and staff.
• Reflect on practice and engage in professional learning to improve teaching.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individuals.
• Contribute to development and evaluation of curriculum programs.
• Undertake other teaching and organisational duties as needed.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertake other non-teaching supervisory duties.
