Job summary

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the curriculum including literacy and numeracy, and responding to student learning needs.
• Experience planning for high-impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn, and evaluating impact.
• Experience monitoring and assessing student learning with data-informed feedback to students/parents.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to partner with students, families and staff.
• Commitment to Department values and ongoing professional learning to improve teaching.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area or program.
• Undertake other teaching-related and organisational duties as directed by leadership.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertake other non-teaching supervisory duties as required.
