Job summary

The role emphasizes reflective practice, collaboration with families and the school community, and alignment to department values. Experience across range 1 or 2 classroom teaching is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to teach literacy and numeracy skills.
• Experience planning high impact teaching strategies guided by how students learn.
• Experience monitoring and assessing student learning and using data to inform teaching.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, parents, colleagues and the wider community.
• Commitment to professional learning and reflecting to improve teaching quality.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individual students.
• Contribute to curriculum development, implementation and evaluation within the school.
• Undertake other classroom teaching related and organizational duties as directed by the principal.
• Engage with parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertake non-teaching supervisory duties as required.
