Job summary

The Department of Education Victoria is seeking a Classroom Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction across PE and classroom programs. You will plan, assess and adapt lessons to meet diverse student needs, integrate literacy and numeracy, and contribute to school improvement with evidence-based practice.

You will collaborate with colleagues, engage families, and participate in professional learning to continually enhance student outcomes and wellbeing within a supportive school community.

Qualifications

• SC1: Knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to integrate literacy and numeracy skills.
• SC2: Experience planning and implementing high impact teaching strategies and evaluating learning growth.
• SC3: Experience monitoring and assessing learning; using data to inform practice and provide feedback.
• SC4: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; collaboration with students, parents, colleagues and community.
• SC5: Alignment with Department values and commitment to reflective practice and ongoing learning.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individuals; plan and deliver curricula.
• Develop and evaluate programs within the school; contribute to policy and priority setting.
• Engage in data-informed decision making to improve student outcomes.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, and school activities.
• Undertake non-teaching duties as required by the principal.
