Job summary

Range 1 and Range 2 responsibilities include mentoring, policy development, and contributing to school priorities while maintaining a focus on student learning, engagement and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum and ability to teach literacy and numeracy.
• Experience planning and implementing high impact teaching strategies and evaluating learning growth.
• Ability to monitor, assess and provide feedback on student progress to students and parents.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with students, families and staff.
• Willingness to reflect on practice and engage in ongoing professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Directly teach groups and individuals to achieve specified student outcomes.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum programs.
• Undertake classroom and organisational duties as directed by the School Principal.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions; support student wellbeing.
• Supervise and mentor student teachers as required.
