Job summary

Victorian Government is seeking classroom teachers for Range 1 and Range 2 roles. The position focuses on planning, preparation and delivering programs to achieve student outcomes, with opportunities to contribute beyond the classroom as experience grows.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the curriculum and how to teach literacy and numeracy.
• Experience planning high impact teaching and evaluating learning growth.
• Experience monitoring and assessing student learning and using data to inform practice.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with students, parents, colleagues and community.
• Commitment to professional learning and reflecting on practice to improve teaching quality.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individual students.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area.
• Undertake other classroom teaching related duties as directed by the principal.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertake other non-teaching supervisory duties as required.
