Job summary

Australian Venue Co. is seeking a hands-on Duty Manager to lead operations at The Metropolitan Hotel in Mackay. You’ll manage floor activity, coach the team and ensure guests receive outstanding service in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have prior Duty Manager or supervisory hospitality experience, current RSA, and a calm, solutions-focused approach. You will work a rotating roster including weekends and nights as part of our leadership team.

• Previous experience in a Duty Manager or supervisory hospitality role.
• Current RSA certification.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm and solutions-focused during busy periods.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends and nights.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day floor operations.
• Lead, support and motivate the team during your shift.
• Ensure high standards of guest service, presentation and compliance.
• Manage guest feedback and resolve issues professionally.
• Support cash handling, reporting and venue security procedures.
• Ensure RSA and other compliance obligations are met at all times.
• Work closely with the Venue Manager and broader leadership team.

We're on the lookout for a reliable, hands-on Duty Manager to join our leadership team and help drive great guest experiences across the venue.
