Job summary

Australian Venue Co. is seeking a Duty Manager to lead the Brighton Metro Hotel in Adelaide. You will drive day-to-day operations, mentor a high-performing team and deliver exceptional guest experiences across multiple revenue streams.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership from the floor, compliance with RSA, food safety and WHS, and close collaboration with the Venue Manager and kitchen/FOH teams to continually improve performance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading hospitality teams and operations.
• Proven ability to coach and develop staff
• Strong focus on guest service and safety compliance
• Hands-on leader who works from the floor
• Experience managing high-volume food & beverage operations
• RSA and RSG certification (or ability to obtain)

Lead one of Adelaide's iconic hospitality venues. The Brighton Metro Hotel is a true local favourite, offering something for everyone—from the popular Charlie's Diner buffet and family dining to a vibrant Sports Bar, Beer Garden, gaming room and function spaces.

With a strong community focus and a fast-paced operation, we're looking for an experienced hospitality leader to take the next step in their career.

About the Role

As Duty Manager, you'll lead the day-to-day operations of the venue while developing a high-performing team and delivering exceptional guest experiences. You'll be passionate about hospitality, commercial performance and creating a positive team culture.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading all day-to-day venue operations
• Coaching, mentoring and developing your team
• Driving exceptional guest experiences and service standards
• Maintaining compliance with RSA, food safety and WHS requirements
• Working closely with the Venue Manager, kitchen and FOH team to continually improve venue performance

We're Looking For Someone Who Has

• previous leadership experience within hospitality
• Is a hands-on leader who enjoys leading from the floor
• Has experience managing high-volume food & beverage operations
• Can build engaged, high-performing teams
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and leads by example
• Holds a current RSA & RSG (or can obtain one before commencing)
