Job summary

Belgravia Leisure at Lakeside Leisure Centre in the ACT is seeking enthusiastic Duty Managers to co-ordinate day-to-day operations with safety and service excellence. You will lead a team of lifeguards, ensure high standards of water safety, and deliver a welcoming, memorable experience for patrons.

Ideal candidates are dynamic, calm under pressure, and possess strong communication and leadership skills, First Aid Level 2 and CPR, police and Working with Children clearances, and a willingness to

• Strong leadership experience with an ability to inspire others.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• An understanding of OHS and public safety applications within your facility.
• Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Current First Aid (Level 2) & Current CPR Certificate.
• National Police Check.
• Working with Vulnerable People.
• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate.
• Current Pool Operations Certificate is essential.

Responsibilities

The Role

We are currently looking for enthusiastic, reliable and friendly Duty Managers to join the team. The Duty Manager’s primary responsibility is to co-ordinate day to day operations of the facility with the highest regard to safety and high quality service delivery.

This role requires an individual who is a leader and can keep cool under pressure. You should be energetic, dynamic, outgoing and fun. You will need outstanding communication skills and a commitment to customer service excellence to ensure our patrons safely enjoy their visit every time.

Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to communicate and interact effectively with patrons that have a diverse range of ages, abilities, cultures and needs. You will also be required to work a minimum of 1 Lifeguard shift per week.

Previous experience and success in a comparable role is not essential but highly regarded.
