Job summary

Exchange Hotel Kilcoy, part of the Aushotels Group, is seeking an experienced Duty Manager to support the Venue Manager and oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with liquor and gaming regulations. The role includes supervising Front of House, Bar, TAB and Gaming, and leading a motivated team in a busy, fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will have at least 2 years’ Duty Manager experience in hotels or entertainment venues, strong TAB/Gaming/Keno knowledge, and

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Duty Manager in a hotel or entertainment venue.
• Strong knowledge of TAB, Gaming and Keno.
• Excellent communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage busy service periods.
• RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol), RSG (Responsible Service of Gaming), RMLV (Responsible Management of Licensed Venue).

The venue has a mixture of inside and outside dining, family activities, along with a gaming room and events such as line dancing, wood chopping events and various live music acts throughout the week.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Duty Manager to support our Venue Manager in delivering exceptional day-to-day operations. You’ll ensure the venue runs smoothly, efficiently and in full compliance with all liquor and gaming regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing operational areas including Front of House, Bar, TAB, and Gaming
• Ensuring full compliance with liquor, gaming, and regulatory requirements at all times
• Maintaining a safe environment for staff and patrons
• Motivating and developing staff, enabling an inclusive productive and happy team

About You

You are a motivated and reliable hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and leads by example.

You will bring:
