Frontline Recruitment Group – Rockhampton is seeking an experienced Duty Manager to lead daily operations across bar, gaming, restaurant and accommodation. You will drive exceptional guest experiences, mentor teams and ensure regulatory compliance in a busy hospitality venue.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong customer focus, and the ability to manage in a fast-paced environment while supporting strategic objectives of the venue.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Duty Manager, Assistant Manager, or similar hospitality leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of gaming, bar, food and beverage operations.
• Proven ability to lead from the front in a fast-paced venue.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily venue operations across bar, gaming, restaurant and accommodation.
• Lead, mentor and motivate team members to deliver outstanding service.
• Manage staff performance, training and rostering.
• Ensure compliance with liquor licensing, gaming, health and workplace safety regulations.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally.
• Support rostering, stock control and venue reporting.
• Contribute to achieving operational and financial targets.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and hands-on Duty Manager to join the leadership team. Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the venue, ensuring exceptional customer service standards, team engagement, and smooth operational performance across all departments.

This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who enjoys leading from the front, developing teams, and creating memorable guest experiences while maintaining compliance and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily venue operations across bar, gaming, restaurant, and accommodation areas
• Lead, mentor, and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service
• Manage staff performance, training, and development
• Ensure compliance with liquor licensing, gaming, health, and workplace safety regulations
• Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and issue resolution professionally
• Assist with rostering, stock control, cash handling, and venue reporting
• Support the achievement of operational and financial targets
• Maintain presentation standards throughout the venue
• Foster a positive and collaborative workplace culture

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Previous experience in a Duty Manager, Assistant Manager, or similar hospitality leadership position
• Strong knowledge of gaming, bar, food and beverage operations
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills
• A hands-on approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required

Essential Requirements

• Current QLD RSA & RSG
• RMLV and Approved Manager's Licence
• Gaming experience highly regarded
• Full Australian working rights
