Job summary

Club Evans RSL in Evans Head, NSW is seeking a confident Duty Manager to lead our team across the venue, including the bistro, bar, gaming and events. This full-time role involves hands-on leadership, decision making, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences during every shift.

You will oversee operations, maintain service standards, handle guest enquiries, and support the team through busy periods and functions while upholding responsible service of alcohol and gaming practices.

Qualifications

• 5 Years or more previous experience in a club, hospitality, hotel or similar venue.
• Certificate 3 in Business or Hospitality or similar experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and motivate the team during each shift.
• Oversee bistro, bar, gaming and general club operations.
• Maintain high standards of customer service across the venue.
• Handle member and guest enquiries and resolve issues professionally.
• Support the team through busy periods, functions and live entertainment nights.
• Ensure responsible service of alcohol and gaming requirements are met.
• Complete opening and closing procedures and shift handovers.
• Monitor club presentation, cleanliness and safety standards.
• Manage incidents and escalate matters where needed.
• Support training and development of team members.
• Work closely with management to keep the club running smoothly.

Club Evans RSL is looking for a confident, hands-on Duty Manager to help lead our team on the banks of the beautiful Evans River. We're a proud community club - home to our riverside River Bistro, live entertainment, sport on the big screens, and functions and weddings year-round - and we want a leader who'sjust as proud to be part of what we do.

This is a varied, hands-on role. One shift you might be running a wedding function, the next you're on the gaming floor, supporting the bistro through a busy lunch service, or sorting a member's enquiry. If you like variety, enjoy making decisions, and get a buzz out of bringing the best out of your team, we want to hear from you.

About the role

As Duty Manager, you'll take charge of the day-to-day running of the club during your shift, making sure operations run smoothly and our members and visitors have a great experience.

You’ll be involved in:

• Leading, supporting and motivating the team during each shift

• Working closely with management to keep the club running smoothly

About you

You might already be working as a Duty Manager or Supervisor, or you're ready to make the move into management. Either way, we're looking for someone with:

• 5 Years more more previous experience in a club, hospitality, hotel or similar venue
• Certificate 3 in Business or Hospitality or similar experience
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• A hands-on approach and the ability to lead by example
• A genuine passion for customer service
• The confidence to make decisions and manage situations as they come up
• The ability to stay calm and organised when things get busy
• A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to get stuck in
• Current RSA/RCG and Advanced RCG
• Current NSW Driver’s License
• Availability to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
