Club Raby Bay is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to join our leadership team and play a key role in the day-to-day operation of our venue.
Located in the heart of Cleveland, Club Raby Bay is a community-focused venue offering dining, bar, gaming and entertainment in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
We’re looking for a hands‑on leader who enjoys being on the floor, building great teams and making sure every shift runs smoothly.
Working closely with the General Manager, you’ll help lead the daily operation of the club and take ownership of the venue when required.
You’ll be responsible for:
Leading the day-to-day operation of the venue and taking charge when required
Leading, coaching and supporting our front‑of‑house teams
Coordinating shifts, team deployment and service standards
Overseeing operations across bar, bistro and gaming
Creating great experiences for our members and guests
Handling member enquiries and resolving issues confidently and professionally
Supporting bookings, functions and venue activities
Ensuring responsible service, WHS and other compliance requirements are maintained
Supporting stock control, cash handling and general administration
Assisting with roster planning and effective labour deployment
Building a positive team culture and developing the capability of our people
Working closely with the General Manager and leadership team to achieve operational and customer service goals
You’ll be someone who enjoys leading from the front and thrives in a busy hospitality environment.
You’ll bring:
Previous management experience in hospitality, clubs or venue operations
Experience leading and developing a team
Confidence making decisions and taking ownership during a busy shift
A genuine passion for customer service and creating great member experiences
Strong communication and people leadership skills
The ability to coach, motivate and hold team members accountable
Excellent organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities
A strong understanding of responsible service, compliance and workplace safety
A hands‑on approach and willingness to work across all areas of the venue
Current RSA, RMLV and Approved Manager's Licence
Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
