Job summary

Employer Sponsored Jobs seeks a capable Duty Manager to oversee a busy licensed hospitality venue in the Northern Territory. You will lead teams across food & beverage, gaming and functions, acting as the key operational decision-maker during rostered shifts.

This role suits an experienced hospitality supervisor or manager with strong people-management and compliance capabilities, comfortable in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma-level qualification (or equivalent) required.
• Minimum 3 years in licensed venue/hospitality management.
• Previous supervisory experience in a busy licensed hospitality environment.
• Knowledge of licensed venue and gaming operations.
• Strong cash management, financial reconciliation and venue security experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and people management abilities.
• Excellent customer service and conflict-resolution skills.
• Clear written communication and reporting abilities.
• Current NT Responsible Service of Alcohol certification.
• Current Responsible Service of Gambling training or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Take overall operational responsibility for the venue during shifts.
• Lead and coordinate food & beverage, gaming, events and customer-service operations.
• Supervise staff with clear direction, coaching and day-to-day support.
• Allocate staff responsibilities and assist rostering/workforce planning.
• Support employee development, performance management and training.
• Ensure compliance with liquor, gaming, responsible gambling and safety rules.
• Manage opening/closing processes and maintain security controls.
• Oversee cash handling, tills, floats, safes and shift reconciliations.
• Monitor responsible gambling practices and incidents.
• Respond professionally to customer complaints and disputes.

Requirements & Eligibility

• RelevantDiploma-levelqualificationorequivalentwithatleastoneyearofrelevantfull-time-equivalentexperience
• Alternatively,aminimumofthreeyears'relevantfull-time-equivalentexperienceinlicensed-club,hotelorhospitalitymanagement
• Previousexperiencesupervisingstaffwithinabusylicensedhospitalityenvironment
• Demonstratedknowledgeoflicensedvenueandgamingoperations
