Job summary

WIRES is seeking an Individual Giving Specialist in Australia to craft and deliver engaging donor campaigns and manage end-to-end appeals. The role focuses on growing the Individual Giving programs to maximise donor acquisition, engagement and retention, helping to increase the organisation's lifetime capacity to rescue and care for wildlife.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years relevant fundraising experience.
• Tertiary qualifications in fundraising, marketing, communications or similar.
• Demonstrated ability to increase revenue or achieve fundraising targets.
• Excellent copywriting skills.
• Experience with reporting and using insights to make data-driven decisions.
• Demonstrated experience managing expenditure budgets.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Committed to prompt, high-quality donor service.
• Understanding of the importance of data integrity and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write and deliver compelling fundraising appeals and donor communications.
• Project manage campaigns end-to-end (from concept to delivery), ensuring issues are flagged and deadlines met.
• Manage direct mail requirements for all donors and prospects, including supporter updates.
• Work closely with the broader team to develop and execute initiatives to improve donor acquisition, engagement and retention.
• Collaborate with fundraising and marketing teams to leverage appeal content across channels.
• Craft donor-focused communications with compelling calls to action.
• Develop briefs for data segmentation, graphic design and mail house fulfilment, ensuring timely, budget-conscious delivery.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure services delivered as agreed.
• Monitor and report on Individual Giving Program income and expenditure to achieve growth targets.
