Job summary

Spiral Duct Australia Pty Ltd in Braeside, VIC is seeking a proactive Dispatch/Logistics Assistant. You will arrange deliveries, select cost-efficient transport options, and manage order packing, loading, and dockets.

You will also liaise with customers and site contacts when orders are ready and keep internal systems up to date. This role requires an LF forklift licence and a valid driver's licence, plus experience in dispatch or warehousing.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Arrange deliveries using own vehicles, couriers or customer pickup.
• Choose cost-effective transport options for each job.
• Pick, pack, stage and load orders; verify delivery dockets.
• Contact customers and site contacts when orders are ready.
• Receipting inwards goods against purchase orders; report discrepancies.
• Maintain internal systems with delivery and receipting info.
• Assist with stock monitoring, stocktakes and Kanban.
• Keep dispatch area clean, organised and safe.
• Collaborate with Production Supervisor on changes, issues, damaged items.
• Complete end-of-day dispatch tasks and site lock-up.

Key responsibilities

• Arranging deliveries by our own vehicles, couriers or customer pick-up, and choosing the right, cost-effective transport option for each job
• Picking, packing, staging and loading orders, and checking delivery dockets for accuracy
• Contacting customers and site contacts when orders are ready
• Receipting inwards goods against purchase orders and reporting any discrepancies
• Keeping internal systems up to date with delivery and receipting information
• Helping with stock monitoring, stocktakes, Kanban and dispatch consumables
• Keeping the dispatch area clean, organised and safe
• Working closely with the Production Supervisor on job changes, delivery issues and damaged or missing items
• Completing end-of-day dispatch tasks and site lock-up

About you

• Current forklift licence (LF) and driver's licence (essential)
• Experience in dispatch, warehousing, logistics or a similar role, ideally in manufacturing or construction supply
• Strong attention to detail with dockets, quantities and paperwork
• Comfortable with computer systems and email
• Clear, professional communication with customers, couriers and the team
• Self-motivated: you keep busy during quieter periods by preparing upcoming jobs and keeping the area in order
• Reliable and punctual, with a strong commitment to safety
