Job summary

Value Care Limited in Australia is seeking a Disability Team Leader to coordinate and supervise disability support workers, ensuring safe, high-quality services for clients.

You will organise rosters, monitor plans, support staff development and work with families and healthcare professionals to deliver person-centred care. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication and a practical understanding of NDIS standards to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Disability Support, Individual Support, Community Services or related qualification.
• Experience supervising or coordinating disability support workers.
• Strong understanding of person-centred support and service delivery.
• Knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards, safeguarding obligations and incident reporting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise daily activities of disability support workers to ensure safe, high-quality services.
• Organise staff rosters, allocate duties and monitor staffing to meet client requirements.
• Oversee implementation of individual support plans reflecting clients’ goals and needs.
• Provide guidance to staff on daily care activities, communication and appropriate practices.
• Monitor service quality and address concerns to maintain standards of care.
• Support clients in developing independent living skills and community participation.
• Coordinate with families, healthcare professionals and support coordinators on ongoing needs.
• Assist with staff induction, training and performance feedback.
• Review records and reports to ensure accurate documentation.
• Identify risks and implement preventive measures to protect clients and staff.
• Ensure compliance with NDIS requirements, safeguarding and WHS policies.
• Respond to concerns and escalate serious matters when needed.
• Monitor progress against goals and adjust support arrangements as required.
• Promote respectful communication, teamwork, accountability and person-centred practices.
• Assist management with monitoring outcomes and continuous improvement of services.
