Job summary

My Supports is seeking passionate Disability Support Workers for a brand-new Supported Independent Living (SIL) service in Essendon North, Melbourne. You will assist participants with daily living, health and wellbeing, and meaningful community engagement in a purpose-built SDA home.

This role requires a proactive, compassionate approach, strong teamwork, and adherence to person-centred practices to support independence and meaningful life experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering person-centred support and goal-based planning.
• Ability to implement Positive Behaviour Support strategies.
• Familiarity with health, wellbeing promotion and daily living routines.
• Understanding of NDIS requirements and compliant documentation.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support daily living activities and personal care.
• Assist with meal planning, grocery shopping and meal preparation.
• Promote healthy lifestyle goals and participation in exercise.
• Support community access, appointments and social participation.
• Follow risk management and safety strategies; maintain documentation.
