Job summary

Resilience Support Pty Ltd in Yarrawonga is seeking an appropriately skilled Support Worker to assist a female client living with an Acquired Brain Injury. You will provide personal care and help the client access her local community using her vehicle, supporting participation in activities that are meaningful to her.

In this role you will follow a care plan, maintain professionalism, and participate in ongoing training and development.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent.
• Current Australian Drivers Licence.
• First Aid including CPR qualification.
• Current Police Check (No older than 3 months).
• Working With Children Check (employee).
• Willingness to undertake personal care tasks as required.
• Willingness to undertake required training and core competencies.
• Caring and compassionate approach with effective communication.
• Flexible in work hours to meet customers' needs.
• Ongoing support and professional development provided.

Job description

The client has own vehicle to access the community to participate in activities that are of interest and meaningful to her. You will work as part of a team to support the client with personal care and community access.

• Assist to attend appointments and complete shopping tasks

About you

• Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care or equivalent, or willing to undertake
• Current Australian Drivers Licence
• Current First Aid including CPR qualification
• Current Police Check (No older than 3 months)
• Working With Childrens Check (employee)
• Willingness to undertake personal care (bathing, toileting, personal hygiene) services with customers
• Willingness to undertake and ability to pass Resilience Support Complex Care Core Competencies training and other mandatory training
• A caring and compassionate approach with the ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to be flexible in work hours and approach to meet the needs of customers
