Job summary

Resilience Support Pty Ltd in Moyhu is seeking an engaged Support Worker to assist a young male client living with an Acquired Brain Injury. Full training in individual needs is provided, including shadow shift training. A travel incentive is paid, and ongoing development opportunities are available.

The role focuses on personal care, mobility support, home exercise programs, community access and daily farm-related tasks, with emphasis on reliability and compassionate communication.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care or equivalent, or willingness to undertake.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.
• First Aid with CPR qualification.
• Police Check within last 3 months.
• Careful, compassionate approach with good communication.
• Experience with smartphones and computer programs.
• ABI experience is highly desirable.
• Working with Vulnerable People check before starting; salary sacrifice super optional.
• Training and professional development opportunities over $3,000.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking to engage appropriately skilled and qualified individual Support Workers to assist a young motivated male client living with an Acquired Brain Injury in the Moyhu area. Full training in client's individual needs provided, including shadow shift training. Travel incentive paid.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, including showering toileting and grooming
• Assist client with home exercises program under guidance of physiotherapist, including gym and hydrotherapy
• Assist with planning and organising appointments, social events and correspondence
• Assist with community access, including shopping, appointments and social activities.
• Assist client to complete tasks on his farm, including checking on animals, walking dogs
• Assist with meal preparation and domestic tasks

About you

• Be reliable and dependable
• Possess good planning, organisational and communication skills
• Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care or equivalent, or willing to undertake
• Current Australian Drivers Licence
• Current First Aid including CPR qualification
• Current Police Check (No older than 3 months)
• A caring and compassionate approach with the ability to communicate effectively
• Experience in the use of technology such as smart phones and computer programs
• Experience working with clients with Acquired Brain Injury highly desirable
